Role summary:Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable software solutions through collaborative engineering efforts. About the team:
The Dynamic Inventory team is essential to Walmart’s operations, focusing on forecasting product demand and optimizing inventory across distribution centers. The team develops advanced ETL and machine learning pipelines to enable accurate demand estimation and inventory management. Operating from locations including Sunnyvale and Bangalore, members collaborate to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. They apply expertise in platform design, API development, and continuous integration to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency, supporting Walmart’s commitment to seamless product availability and meeting customer needs effectively.
What you'll do:
- Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaboration with engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code using multiple programming languages and drive full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency.
- Assist in solution design, conduct code reviews, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform objectives.
- Engage stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
- Monitor application performance, support defect management, and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
- Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through iterative development and continuous integration/deployment.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
- Demonstrated skills in solution design, technical leadership, and applying scalable, maintainable design patterns.
- Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
