Job description

Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Automation Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain advanced automation solutions for various industrial processes within Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam Co. Ltd. This role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency, improving productivity, and ensuring the reliability of our systems.

Job Responsibilities**

* Design, program, test, and commission Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
* Develop and implement industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA) for seamless data exchange between systems.
* Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on automation hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software engineering) to integrate automation solutions into existing or new industrial processes.
* Conduct site surveys, gather requirements, and prepare technical specifications and documentation for automation projects.
* Participate in the evaluation and selection of new automation technologies and equipment.
* Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Continuously monitor and optimize automation systems for performance improvements and cost reduction.

Job Qualifications**

5+ years PLC development experience, analyze and modify ladder logic
Omron PLC, CX-Programmer experience
Strong understanding of process control and control systems. 
Familiar with industrial communication protocols
Experience with analog signal acquisition and industrial monitoring applications
Hands-on experience in PLC programming, testing, and commissioning.
Ability to read/write English documents
