About the RoleThe Part-Time Marketing Coordinator supports the marketing and promotional efforts of programs, special events, and community initiatives organized by the Experience & Engagement Department. Working under the supervision of the Experience & Engagement Marketing Manager, this position assists with creating and distributing promotional content, maintaining digital platforms, supporting event marketing, and engaging with community audiences.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and comfortable working across social media, digital marketing, and event-related activities. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to marketing efforts that promote Town programs, increase community engagement, and create positive experiences for residents and visitors.
• Assist with creating promotional content for social media, email newsletters, websites, print materials, and other digital platforms.
• Schedule and post content across social media, email marketing platforms, and event listing websites.
• Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and customer inquiries professionally and timely.
• Assist Town departments with promoting community programs, events, and outreach initiatives.
• Assist with designing promotional materials including flyers, posters, banners, and digital graphics.
• Support marketing efforts for Town events, including experiential marketing elements and promotional activities.
• Assist with maintaining and updating community calendars, websites, and event platforms.
• Support sponsor, vendor, volunteer, and community partner marketing efforts.
• Maintain organized photography, video, and other marketing asset files.
• Assist with distributing promotional materials to media partners, businesses, and community organizations.
• Support media relations efforts, including preparation of press materials.
• Assist with ticketing platform operations, event maps, seating charts, and layouts as needed.
• Track and compile basic marketing performance information, including website, social media, email, and ticketing metrics.
• Assist with marketing vendor coordination and event preparation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts, Event Management, or a related field.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in marketing, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or events industry.
Special Requirements• Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
• Ability to work extended days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
