Position Overview: German Customer Service Associate (E-Commerce)
- Location: On-site in Umhlanga, Durban
- Monthly Salary: R24,000 basic
- Hours: 24/7 continuous rotational shifts (5 working days, 8 hours per day)
Role Description: We are searching for fluent German speakers to deliver world-class client support on behalf of a major international e-commerce retailer. Stationed in our Umhlanga facility, you will act as the primary liaison for online shoppers, managing incoming questions about order statuses, deliveries, payment queries, and item details. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to build a career in customer care and BPO operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Cross-Channel Support: Handle customer communications via telephone, messaging, and email in both German and English.
- Order Processing: Troubleshoot shipment delays, manage return requests, and track missing parcels.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate complaints with tact, logic, and a customer-first mindset.
- Product Familiarity: Keep up with store inventory and policies to offer reliable advice.
- Data Logging: Document every client interaction accurately inside the CRM system.
- KPI Compliance: Meet operational targets, focusing heavily on satisfaction ratings (CSAT) and service standard benchmarks.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Language Skills: B2 level or higher in German (written and verbal), plus fluent business English.
- Education: Minimum Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to cover irregular hours, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Digital Skills: Comfortable working across several software platforms and tools simultaneously.
- Background: Call center or customer care experience is an advantage, but comprehensive paid onboarding is provided.
- Personal Traits: Resilient, empathetic problem-solver with a constructive, positive attitude.
