Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the fixed asset subledger for multiple hotel properties and the corporate office, including recording additions, disposals, and transfers.
• Calculate and record monthly depreciation, and reconcile fixed asset balances to the general ledger.
• Manage property tax compliance, including tracking assessments and due dates, reviewing and processing tax bills, and supporting the appeals process as needed.
• Process vendor invoices and code them to the correct general ledger accounts, departments, and cost centers; process weekly payment runs.
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, and depreciation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports, including variance analysis and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and assist with gathering support for audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and core accounting concepts, including debits, credits, and account reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in an accounting career.
