Job Description:
The Work:
The work is about making the business faster and freeing teams to do more — whether that’s a tool Finance uses to manage requisitions, a system that keeps timesheets compliant, or an agentic AI workflow that a delivery team uses to move faster. We’re actively ramping up our AI capabilities — agentic systems, machine learning, and AI-assisted operations — and this role will be at the center of managing that work.
As Technical Project Manager, you’ll run delivery across several of these programs at once, coordinating software engineers, data engineers, and analysts in a distributed team across the globe. You’ll be the person partners come to for a straight answer on where their project stands. And you’ll use AI yourself day to day — drafting, synthesizing, and thinking through plans so you can stay across the full slate.
What You'll Own:
Program Delivery
- Own the delivery of multiple concurrent build programs — custom applications, workflow automations, data work, and AI-powered solutions including agentic and machine learning workstreams — from intake through deployment and real adoption. You hold scope, sequence, and dependencies, and you drive each program to a defined finish.
- Run the day-to-day across a team spread over three time zones, keeping work moving instead of stalling until the next overlap window.
Partners & Communication
- Be the bridge between the internal partners who own a process — Finance, Sales, Delivery, HR, Resource Management — and the team building the fix: keep both sides aligned, make sure the analysts get the access and decisions they need from the partner, and turn a status question into a current, accurate answer.
- Run the delivery cadence (standups, working sessions, status) and hold contributors to their commitments across time zones.
- Surface risk and slippage early, with a recommended path, before a date gets missed.
Process & Governance
- Keep the portfolio honest in our portfolio-management tool: intake, scoping, scoring, and sequencing on a monthly nomination and six-week steering-committee cadence.
- Design and keep sharpening how the team runs delivery — a modern, practical approach measured by what ships, not by how faithfully we follow a methodology. The process serves the work, never the reverse, and governance stays visible without becoming overhead.
What You Bring:
- 3–7 years managing projects, with 2–4 years running software or application delivery specifically.
- A record of running several delivery programs at once and driving them to closure — holding people to commitments, not only tracking tasks.
- Enough technical fluency to move at a developer’s pace: you understand the software development lifecycle end to end — discovery, design, build, QA, release, and adoption — and know what your job is at each stage.
- You don’t write the code, but you can run meetings, read a solution design, spot where integration risk sits, catch a padded estimate, and understand what a deployment involves — enough to ask the questions that matter.
- Experience coordinating distributed or offshore teams across time zones.
- Clear, direct communication that translates between technical teams and non-technical business partners.
- You already use AI tools in your daily work — drafting status and communications, pulling a clear picture out of scattered notes, thinking through a plan — and you know where they help and where they don’t.
- You come with a point of view — you can spot what’s missing in a scope, identify the dependency that will blow a timeline, and tell someone what they need to hear with a recommendation attached. Not a passive facilitator.
- You understand how a professional services and agency organization runs — how work gets initiated, scoped, resourced, and delivered — so you can anticipate what internal teams need rather than just react.
What Sets You Apart:
- Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
- Experience managing modern web application projects deployed on Microsoft’s Azure platform.
- Experience delivering in a client-facing agency or professional services environment — the pace, accountability, and stakeholder pressure that come with that background translate directly into what this team demands.
- Experience maturing project management practices on a growing team.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps from a project management perspective.
- Experience managing AI, ML, or agentic workflow delivery specifically.
What We Offer
- A team with real, shipped products in daily use across the business, not a backlog of slideware.
- AI-assisted engineering as a daily practice, and direct exposure to enterprise Microsoft, data, and AI work.
