Description
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on HR Specialist / Local Representative to support our operations across Portugal and Spain. Based full-time in our Lisbon office, this role combines local HR operations and employee support with the daily onsite presence required for GoGlobal’s Portuguese labour-leasing / temporary work agency licence. You will act as an accessible local contact for employees, candidates, clients, authorities and other visitors, while supporting the full employee lifecycle and providing operational cover across the Iberia region.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as a primary point of contact for employees in Portugal and Spain on HR policies, procedures, programs, and day-to-day HR matters.
· Work onsite at the Lisbon office each business day during the required opening hours and ensure the effective daily operation of the premises and availability of in-person support.
· Receive and assist employees, candidates, clients, authorities and other visitors; respond to enquiries, coordinate appointments, and manage correspondence and records.
· Manage and support the employee lifecycle across Portugal and Spain, including onboarding, right-to-work checks, employment documentation, HR system updates, personnel records, benefits administration, payroll inputs, leave administration, and offboarding.
· Prepare and maintain employment contracts, employee letters, confirmations, personnel files, and other HR and licence-related documentation.
· Provide day-to-day HR support across Iberia and assume agreed operational responsibilities during planned or unplanned absence within the regional team.
· Coordinate with the Technical Director and support interactions with the IEFP, other authorities, legal advisers, payroll providers, and external partners, including required filings, document submissions, and regulatory correspondence.
· Monitor relevant employment-law and HR-practice developments in Portugal and Spain, escalating legal, compliance, employee-relations, or service-delivery risks as appropriate.
· Build effective relationships with employees, managers, clients, and external partners to resolve HR-related questions and support a consistent employee experience.
· Handle confidential employee information in accordance with data privacy and company requirements.
· Support internal audits, compliance reviews, licence maintenance, and HR reporting through accurate data collection, recordkeeping, and documentation.
· Participate in regional projects and other ad hoc HR initiatives as required.
