Senior Solution Architect

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect who can independently lead the architecture of complex, cross-domain and business-critical deliveries. You will translate business requirements into robust end-to-end solution designs, define integrations across our technology landscape, evaluate options and trade-offs, and drive architectural decisions across business, delivery and technology teams. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity, challenging requirements constructively and ensuring that solutions are implementable, secure, resilient and aligned with Vodafone’s architecture direction.

You will join our strong team of approximately 25 architects in Vodafone CZ IT, mostly located in Prague, partially abroad. The workload will consist of business as usual complex changes on various core systems integrated mainly through Tibco and/or via TM Forum API. As a senior architect we expect you to drive the architectural transformation towards microservices and Event driven architecture

## What you’ll do

• Broad and deep practical experience owning end-to-end architecture for complex, cross-domain or business-critical deliveries.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into robust and implementable solution designs.

• Experience performing impact analysis across applications, interfaces and technology domains.

• Strong integration architecture skills, including APIs, messaging, synchronous and asynchronous integration, and event-driven approaches.

• Ability to define functional and non-functional requirements and assess solution options, dependencies, risks, trade-offs and technical debt.

• Practical experience applying architectural styles and principles such as SOA, event-driven architecture, microservices, API-first design, modularity and loose coupling.

• Practical ability to create component and sequence diagrams.

• Knowledge of modelling approaches such as UML, C4, ArchiMate or BPMN.

• Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, including Agile or Waterfall delivery, DevOps or DevSecOps, testing, deployment and operational considerations.

• Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures.

• Ability to resolve ambiguity, lead complex architecture decisions and align technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

## What skills we need

• Experience in the telecommunications industry and understanding of OSS/BSS landscapes.

• Knowledge of TM Forum concepts, particularly ODA and Open APIs.

• Familiarity with enterprise telecommunications technologies such as Siebel, TIBCO, Kafka, Pega or Camunda. Knowledge of every listed technology is not required.

• Familiarity with architecture frameworks and standards such as TOGAF and ArchiMate. Certification is not required.

• Experience using architecture and collaboration tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Archi, Draw.io, Microsoft Visio, PlantUML, Mermaid or Miro.

• Experience with large transformation programmes and complex supplier landscapes.

• Practical familiarity with Domain Architecture concepts. The successful candidate may optionally be assigned a Domain Architect role depending on organisational needs.

• Fluent Czech and English language
