Sr. Solution Architect needed by o9 Solutions, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may telecommute/work from home] to Define the o9 FP&A product vision, positioning, and long-term strategy for the financial planning platform. Build and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs. Act as the voice of finance professionals (CFOs, FP&A teams, controllers) throughout the product lifecycle. Gather and synthesize requirements from customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders. Prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility. Write detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Translate FP&A, RGM, IBP, DP & SP processes (budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, variance analysis, reporting) into scalable product features. Partner with engineering and UX to design intuitive planning, reporting, and analytics workflows. Lead workshops, interviews, and process design sessions with customer and functional consultants. Document current-state and future-state (“to-be”) business processes aligned with industry best practices. Design and document end-to-end financial planning solutions using the o9 platform and complementary technologies. Map business requirements into o9 and develop clear, phased, and achievable implementation blueprints. Identify and document data requirements needed to support FP&A and operational processes, including sales, shipments, inventory, logistics, and supply chain data. Oversee data collection and analysis from ERP systems, PLM systems, databases, Excel files, emails, and other sources. Provide technical expertise in financial modeling, data integration, and system architecture. Lead technical design documentation converting business requirements into platform and solution designs. Configure, test, and deploy FP&A, RGM, IBP, DP & SP solutions on the o9 platform to meet client requirements. Ensure integration with upstream and downstream systems. Oversee platform configuration in line with functional and technical designs. Establish rigorous performance monitoring and validation mechanisms. Identify and select appropriate mathematical models, predictive methods, statistical techniques, optimization algorithms, and simulations. Oversee execution of analytics and modeling by Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Integration Specialists. Deliver actionable insights and data visualizations to client leadership teams. Resolve functional and technical issues by coordinating defect tracking, analysis, and resolution with customers and internal teams. Work with R&D to close solution gaps and deploy fixes in customer environments. Oversee and review the work of Solution Architects and Consultants to ensure high-quality functional and technical designs. Ensure consistency, scalability, and robustness of complex datasets and solution configurations. Collaborate with client IT, business, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project planning and execution. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers on FP&A, RGM, IBP, DP & SP transformation and best practices. Plan, develop, and deliver Super User and End User training programs for a global user base. Drive adoption through clear documentation, enablement materials, and best-practice guidance. Implement financial planning and performance management solutions. Utilize financial forecasting, budgeting, and short-, mid-, and long-range financial planning processes. Utilize financial planning, reporting, and analytics concepts. Lead EPM platforms such as SAP BPC, SAP SAC, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, and Tagetik. Utilize SAP ecosystem technologies including Anaplan, SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP BPC, SAP S/4 HANA, and SAP Analytics Cloud. Deliver large-scale enterprise implementations using Agile methodologies. Utilize SQL Server and MySQL. Utilize SQL, MDX, T-SQL. Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, modeling, and executive-level presentations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate in a related occupation implementing financial planning and performance management solutions; utilizing financial forecasting, budgeting, and short-, mid-, and long-range financial planning processes; utilizing financial planning, reporting, and analytics concepts; leading EPM platforms such as SAP BPC, SAP SAC, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, and Tagetik; utilizing SAP ecosystem technologies including Anaplan, SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP BPC, SAP S/4 HANA, and SAP Analytics Cloud; delivering large-scale enterprise implementations using Agile methodologies; utilizing SQL Server and MySQL; utilizing SQL, MDX, T-SQL; and utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, modeling, and executive-level presentations.
