Job Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- The Product Manager will be responsible for the lifecycle of the Product and anything to do with it, for example unit costs, functionality, service levels, capacity, investments, etc. The role would be collaboration with Infrastructure Engineering platforms, Operations, Finance and Facilities.
- As part of Agile the Product Manager is a Product Owner responsible for creating Features and Stories and attending governance meetings for reporting KPI's\ general performance and risks
- Delegate for special projects ensuring implementation is on time, on budget and risk management. Communicating with KPI's to senior management, resolving challenges with minimal oversight and providing options when required.
- Understanding the cost input into our DC portfolio for annual rate setting on Enterprise Data Centers; this will be a key driver to cost savings initiatives. The main source of cost allocation to DC’s will be facilities.
- Business Wrappers (Create, seek approval, create purchase orders, approve invoices)
- Colo Service Orders, Support renewals for vendors (consultants, distributors, low voltage contractors, manufacturers and e-waste providers).
- Estate management:
- Reviewing lease expiry, should we renew or migrate to another facility.
- Evaluating annual price increases and costs for expansion of existing footprint in accordance with TD's negotiated rates. Reviewing monthly invoices for accuracy prior to payment.
- Managing budgets for monthly and business as usual charges. Proving input to the business as part of annual planning.
- Attending weekly, monthly and annual governance calls with TD's Strategic Sourcing Group, related to contract management, SLA adherence and business development. Providing input for risk management and evaluations.
Capacity forecasting: Gather business demand and match it to available capacity. This will determine when there is sufficient capacity and when we need to add for growth. Striking the pinch point will be key given Business Lead Demand and the current DC Strategy
- Need to understand what tools are in place today to capture the data, develop those that are required.
- Weekly review of Change Management tickets submitted by facilities and Data Center Services. Includes collating and approving relevant changes that impact Enterprise Data Centers, Colocation and Critical business areas in Campus buildings.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- University or post-graduate degree
- Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
- 7 + years relevant experience
