SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Account Assistant supports the finance department in managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting in reporting and compliance. The role focuses on data entry, reconciliation, documentation, and administrative support to ensure smooth financial operations.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Account payable & receivable
a) Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documents, and ensure timely payments.
b) Issue invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
c) Maintain proper records of payables and receivables.
2. Data entry & record keeping
a) Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
b) Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
c) Ensure all records are filed systematically for audit purposes.
3. Bank & Accounting
a) Prepare bank reconciliation, produce accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
b) Ensure adherence to accounting standards and financial regulations.
4. Compliance and Audit
a) Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
b) Coordinate and manage internal and external audits
c) Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
5. Filing Document
a) Filing, organized and safekeeping of financial and administrative documents, ensuring records are properly maintained, updated, and easily accessible for audit and reporting purposes.
