Position Summary
The Human Resources Specialist partners with Club Operations as first point of contact for all Human Resources services and acts as the primary point of contact for Team Members for all HR services. This position will demonstrate knowledge of all Life Time HR services and act as a subject matter expert on inquiries, providing excellent customer service in line with Life Time's values to internal and external customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as first point of contact for all issues related to Human Resources
- Reviews, validates, audits employee status changes and new hire information
- Works closely with club management on Human Resources related issues
- Escalates policy violations and employee relations issues as needed
- Reviews and approves requests from the club management, including verifying information is correct and team member employment information is maintained properly
- Coordinates personnel actions with the Payroll team to ensure team members are paid correctly
- Responds to team member messages and e-mails within 24 hours
- Informs management of any new issues or areas of concern
- Recommends changes to HR policy and procedures as appropriate
- Supports annual open enrollment process, makes presentations, follows up on delinquent enrollees, provides assistance to team members
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years related work experience
- Experience with ERP software or other Human Resource Information Systems
- Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures regarding employee relations and labor laws
Preferred Requirements
Degree in Human Resources or a related field
Certification demonstrating HR proficiency (examples: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP)
Pay
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $23.50 and pays up to $31.75, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits
