ASSISTANT, LINEN / LAUNDRY

• To ensure smooth running of the Linen Services.

• Understand the philosophy, objectives, policies and standards of the hospital and nursing services. 

• Adhere to the Hospital policies and procedure are that are relevant to the department. 

• Maintain the cleanliness of the linen store. 

• Maintain the cleanliness of the stock and rearranges it neatly at all linen cupboards. 

• Collect dirty linen from the wards and various services and deliver it to the dirty utility. 

• Check the number of linens taken for washing are counted and recorded. 

• Check and record the number of clean linens received from laundry vendor. 

• Distributes clean laundry to the relevant area twice daily according to the departmental par level.

• Assists in monthly inventory of linen and stock count. 

• Keep a record of non-conformance linen. 

• To wear or always use any personal protective equipment (PPE) or clothing provided by the management for the purpose of preventing risks to his/her safety and health. 

Requirements:

Education: 

• Minimum SPM holder 

Knowledge and Experiences: 

• 1-3 years of experience handling linen 

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel 

• Experience in healthcare industry will be advantage 

• Knowledge on inventory and stock count 

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interface with various levels of the organization. 

Skills & Competencies: 

• Spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
