Role summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, while integrating advanced AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. This role demands strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving to meet business objectives. You will mentor peers, contribute to innovation, and ensure high-quality outcomes that align with Walmart’s standards, supporting a customer-focused and results-driven engineering environment.

About the team:
The AdTech team at Walmart is expanding our QE team to support several new and exciting products for both Walmart.com and Walmart stores.
We are looking for an experienced QE Engineer with a strong background in automated end to end testing for consumer facing web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and knowledge, but above all, must be PASSIONATE about being a part of the solution to deliver high-quality products:
What you'll do:
- Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code,driving full SDLC including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities and velocity.
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance test frameworks to test applications for our 1P Sellers and 3P Suppliers.
- Develop robust, maintainable, reusable code for managing functionality, configuration, deployment, monitoring, performance, scalability, availability, security, and alerting for software test, integration, and production environments.
- Troubleshoot critical defects in software coding
- Provide testing effort of multiple medium to large scale projects
- Plan test schedules and drive execution activities with the help of junior testers and outside vendors and have consistently deliver product on time and with high quality.
- Provide clear visibility on plans, communicate issues/risks and progress to the team and leadership team to resolve quality issues on time and keep the project schedule on track.
- Go beyond test execution and participate in improving test processes, propose new ideas on how to improve customer satisfaction and quality of product.
What you'll bring:
- Experience with Selenium Automation Framework.
- JUnit and TESTNG Framework experience.
- Mobile Automation Framework experience.
- Experience creating Jenkins Jobs.
- Shell Scripting experience.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
- Skilled in translating complex business problems into actionable technical requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in monitoring application performance and maintaining high-quality software.
- Effective collaboration and mentorship skills to support team growth and knowledge sharing.
- Relevant programming experience in relevant languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Spring, Node, React, Angular etc.)
- Experience integrating with scalable back-end services (e.g., REST / graph-QL).
- Experience in functional, integration and E2E (End 2 End) testing tools and practices.
- Experience with code repositories and version control practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices and automated deployment experience
- Expertise with unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)
