At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting. You'll perform fault isolation and assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions. Your commitment to precision and problem-solving enhances Lam's engineering systems.

In this role, you will directly contribute to resolving day-to-day PM test related issue escalation.

## What you’ll do

• * Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians by troubleshooting new or persistent issues, performing rework, accessing computer systems, reviewing schematics, and utilizing fixtures using previous experiences/schematics/assembly drawings/work instructions, while management updated; escalate to Leads/Engineers/Supervisors for solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex issues by utilizing BKM (Best Known Method)/Tech Bulletins/FCO's
• Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
• Collaborates with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data or support in research efforts

## Who we’re looking for

• 3 -10 years of related work experience.
• Good understanding on electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and technical manuals.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work on a shift schedule.

## Preferred qualifications

• Associates degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field.
• Experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, metrology, lab operations, or related areas.
• Experience in semiconductor experience is a plus.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
