Description
Are you passionate about improving outcomes for people living with cancer? We are looking for a Key Account Partner to strengthen our Oncology presence across the South Region. In this field-based role, you will generate clinical demand for our Oncology portfolio, identify business opportunities and build strategic partnerships that help improve the patient journey, support earlier diagnosis and enhance quality of care.
You will combine strong scientific understanding, commercial acumen and account leadership to develop value propositions tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams and key decision-makers.
What you will do
- Develop and execute local account strategies and business plans in partnership with the Sales Manager.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the positioning and appropriate use of AstraZeneca Oncology medicines.
- Build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with multidisciplinary teams, decision-making units and stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Engage healthcare professionals in evidence-based discussions on approved indications, efficacy, safety and treatment protocols.
- Co-create solutions that improve diagnosis, referral, testing, treatment pathways and the overall patient experience.
- Deliver sales performance, manage assigned budgets and maintain accurate forecasts.
- Use omnichannel approaches to deliver relevant, personalised engagement across accounts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Diagnostics, Legal and Compliance colleagues.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the Oncology environment, treatment options, competitor landscape and local patient needs.
- Complete all required training and operate in full compliance with external regulations and internal policies.
What you will bring
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree and advanced English proficiency.
- Secondary-care sales experience and sound knowledge of account management, including relevant pharmaceutical sales experience in Oncology.
- Experience engaging senior healthcare professionals, key accounts and medical stakeholders in complex clinical environments.
- Proven ability to understand and communicate scientific information and health-economic outcomes data.
- A track record of influencing complex decision-making units and creating value across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, business acumen, account planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Learning agility, self-confidence and a customer-focused approach.
Desirable
- Degree in a scientific discipline.
- Previous Oncology sales experience.
Key relationships
Internally, you will partner with Pricing and Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, field sales leadership, Legal, Compliance and Diagnostic teams. Externally, you may work with healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary teams, hospital administrators, payers, regulatory stakeholders, physician organisations, testing centres and key opinion leaders.
