JOB TITLE: Senior Product Owner
LOCATION: Jersey or Isle of Man
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office site.

The purpose of the Product Owner is the overall ownership for a single product backlog spanning multiple delivery channels/ feature teams. Reporting into the Crown Dependencies Lab Product Owner, this role is responsible to oversee the release of incremental value within an overall product, with the primary aim of delivering value to customers and stakeholders by ensuring the team focuses on the right priorities.
Please note* This role is based in Jersey or Isle of Man, you’ll require the right to work and live in these locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports development of Lab or Team OKRs and provides product performance and benefits realisation data
- Oversees the shaping of user-stories to meet customer needs
- Manages Customer Journey Managers and Integrators in the analysis and prioritisation of user stories for customer journey improvements
- Shapes Product vision and roadmap, lining into the overarching Lab goals and objectives
- Prioritises, refines and manages Product backlog
- Accountable for Product change governance (e.g., CMIA / SPFIA) and Business Readiness activities (e.g., training and comms, testing and readiness for implementation) for their respective features, journeys or technology components. Note: PO’s are accountable but activities to be delivered by the whole ‘team’.
- Plays a role in developing capabilities within their functional area and invests in personal and team growth through mentoring and other informal methods
- Works with Integrators when change is particularly large
Additional responsibilities for Product Owners:
- Owns and manages the product backlog for a Group-wide technology asset
- Develops technical design for the product
- Delivers against a product budget, performing financial and data analysis
- Manages all product risk
- Defines the segmentation and supplier strategy
- Environment Planning and other technical activities

What we’re looking for?
- 5+ years’ experience leading digital development delivery with a strong business focus. App/ Web delivery experience is essential to be considered for this role.
- A background in large scale technology change delivery - you must have experience working as a Product Owner or Programme Manager, able to demonstrate budget, risk and delivery ownership.
- Proven hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams through the end-to-end agile application delivery lifecycle, from demand through to incremental value release.
- Practical experience applying AI to technology delivery, with examples of improved business outcomes.
- Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively from executive level through to delivery teams.
