Role Title: Surfacing Project Coordinator

Contract Type: Full Time

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated Surfacing Project Coordinator to join our Roadmarking team in the Nelson Region. In this role you’ll’ contribute to the day-to-day management of our existing surfacing operations while helping ensure high standards of safety, quality, and service are consistently achieved.

You’ll work closely with the Roadmarking Department Manager to support the planning and delivery of the forward works programme, ensuring Fulton Hogan and our client’s expectations are met.

Your key responsibilities will be to support with:

• Programme planning and job management
• Pricing, tendering and securing work
• Processing daily job records and client claiming
• Field work and crew assistance
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with work instructions, client specifications and job-specific standards.  

This role combines hands-on operational support with our Roadmarking crews and office-based assistance for the Department Manager.

What you’ll bring

Our ideal candidate will have previous surfacing or construction experience.  However, it is not essential as we will provide full training for the right candidate.   If you have always thought about applying for a role but don’t have an engineering qualification this could be for you!

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in surfacing or construction would be an advantage
• A strong commitment to teamwork and a willingness to learn new skills for personal development
• A focus on maintaining high safety and quality standards, with an eye for detail
• High motivation and a strong work ethic
• A high level of proficiency in MS Office skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Full class 1 Driver’s Licence, with Class 2 being an advantage
