We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Guernsey practice. Working alongside market-leading lawyers, you'll advise a broad range of local and international clients on complex and high-value matters across corporate, business and finance, financial services, regulatory, insolvency, restructuring, intellectual property and funds work. You'll take ownership of matters, build valuable client relationships and play an active role in mentoring junior colleagues, while contributing to the continued success and growth of the team.

About the role
In this role, you'll:
- Advise clients and intermediaries on a broad range of legal matters, providing commercially focused advice and preparing relevant legal documentation.
- Review and provide comments on legal documentation prepared by third parties.
- Manage your own caseload and lead transaction-appropriate teams to deliver outstanding client service.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and intermediaries throughout the lifecycle of a matter.
- Supervise, mentor and support the development of junior fee earners within the team.
- Ensure matters are managed efficiently and in accordance with internal procedures, including engagement terms, due diligence, time recording and billing requirements. Manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and intermediaries regarding timelines and deliverables.
- Deliver high-quality legal work accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain and develop technical expertise through ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Support wider team and business initiatives as required.
About you – essential requirements
- Relevant academic and professional legal qualifications, ideally obtained within a common law jurisdiction.
- Ideally a minimum of five year's PQE
- Post-qualification experience within corporate, business and finance, financial services, regulatory, insolvency, restructuring, intellectual property or funds law.
- Proven ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
- Excellent drafting skills, with experience preparing and reviewing a broad range of legal documentation.
- Organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to professional development and a genuine commitment to supporting and mentoring junior team members.
