Description
Guardian Light Family Services (GLFS) is seeking a part-time Human Resources Generalist to support the daily organization, accuracy, and follow-through of our HR operations.
This position averages approximately 20 hours per week, with hours generally ranging from 15–30 hours depending on company needs. Some consistent daytime availability is required for communication with applicants, employees, supervisors, previous employers, and other professional contacts. Additional work hours may be completed during evenings or weekends as appropriate.

Responsibilities include:
- Tracking employee and contractual requirements, including trainings, credentials, vehicle documentation, and other required items
- Completing employee setup, status changes, State of Nebraska reporting, and HR system updates
- Reviewing and auditing HR systems and personnel files for accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with pre-employment and background-check verification
- Contacting previous employers and other sources to complete required employment verification
- Identifying missing documentation or incomplete requirements and completing necessary follow-up
- Maintaining accurate and timely personnel records
- Assisting with employee evaluations, monthly reporting, and audit preparation
- Responding professionally to employee and supervisor questions
- Completing additional HR administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- High attention to detail and a thorough understanding of tracking, monitoring, and follow-up processes
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and requirements at the same time
- Ability to accurately maintain spreadsheets, trackers, personnel files, and HR systems
- Strong follow-through and the ability to recognize when information is missing, incomplete, or inconsistent
- Ability to independently determine and complete appropriate next steps
- Comfort making professional phone calls, including contacting previous employers for verification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee information
- Ability to work independently in a remote or isolated work environment without continuous supervision
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes
- Reliable daytime availability for portions of the workweek
- Ability to remain responsive through phone, email, text, and chat
