Description
Graduate Research Assistant
The position focuses on the development of classroom and research materials in two areas: 1) peer feedback, coaching, and working effectively in diverse project teams; and 2, frameworks, methodologies and tools for use in project/client based courses. The student will have much flexibility in scheduling and will work on creating innovative and fun activities that will also provide learning opportunities for the student's future career.
This position is ideal for the graduate student who would like to learn and investigate topics dealing with two areas: individual and team effectiveness, mostly in project team settings, as well as the development of materials to teach common project frameworks.
Initial work would focus on the development of written and video materials that help individuals learn to give and receive performance as well as developmental feedback and coaching within project teams. You will have the opportunity to conduct literature reviews, develop and analyze survey data and help write and/or edit short case studies as well as work with the faculty supervisor to manage the development of videos and/or class exercises focused on peer feedback and coaching when working with team members from diverse backgrounds.
Time permitting, the second focus of the work will be to develop written and video materials for use in strategy and experiential learning (project based) courses to help individuals learn common frameworks, methodologies and tools for developing actionable insights in client based projects. The expectation is that we will work as a team and develop a clear set of expectations that will provide you with the flexibility in your scheduling so that you can manage your time without close supervision.
I would envision weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, with some in-person or online meetings in addition to email correspondence around progress.
