Description
Aristocrat, a leading provider of technology solutions and platforms for the iGaming industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Intermediate Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will take ownership of manual testing activities across complex, web-based products and enterprise platforms. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and others. Your work includes identifying risks, validating requirements, investigating defects, and supporting product delivery.
You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, tools, documentation, and testing practices.
What You'll Do
- Review product requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria to identify test conditions, risks, gaps, and ambiguities.
- Design, maintain, and execute detailed test scenarios, test cases, checklists, and test plans for functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
- Estimate testing effort and provide clear updates on test progress, quality risks, blockers, and release readiness.
- Identify, reproduce, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout their lifecycle using the designated defect-tracking system.
- Create clear and concise defect reports, including reproduction steps, expected and actual results, supporting evidence, severity, and relevant technical information.
- Collaborate with development teams to investigate issues, support root-cause analysis, validate fixes, and prevent defect recurrence.
- Perform testing across supported browsers, devices, environments, and system integrations.
- Analyze production incidents and customer-reported issues, support troubleshooting, and recommend additional test coverage or process improvements.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test coverage, defects, and test results.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including refinement, planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to release validation and provide evidence-based quality recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Find opportunities to improve QA processes, testing efficiency, documentation, and overall product quality.
- Research and evaluate relevant QA practices, tools, and technologies, including appropriate uses of AI-assisted testing tools.
- Share knowledge and support less-experienced team members when required.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of professional experience in manual software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management practices.
- Experience testing web-based applications, enterprise platforms, or other complex software systems.
- Experience with crafting, organizing, maintaining, and accomplishing test cases using TestRail or a similar test management tool.
- Experience performing functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, exploratory, and smoke testing.
- Ability to analyze requirements, identify quality risks, and translate acceptance criteria into effective test coverage.
- Experience using defect-tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
- Basic experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and the ability to perform data validation through database queries.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools, application logs, and other sources of technical information used during issue investigation.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum development teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively across functions.
