Founded in 2010 by Stuart, Cain and David, we help large organisations improve their speed to market whilst focusing on delivering value to their users and customers. You are a people person. As a trusted consultant, you develop rapport with your clients from Day 1. You are a master facilitator who loves simplifying complexity at various levels of the organisation but also has the humility to learn what you don't know. You're proactive in championing user needs and creating opportunities for customer research early and often and you take your team along in the journey with you so that you're all building the right thing together. You expertly switch between your divergent and convergent hats. You use your craft to produce designs at various levels of fidelity to bring the vision to life and iterate fast and often. You are comfortable working closely with Product and Technology teams to build the thing right too.
The role
As a Senior User Experience Designer, you are an integral part of a client-facing cross-functional team working in Lean Agile ways of working. You are responsible for understanding the needs of clients and customers and designing ways to deliver value to them.

together. You expertly switch between your divergent and convergent hats and use your craft to produce designs at various levels of fidelity to bring the vision to life. You are comfortable
working closely with Product and Technology teams to build the thing right, iterating fast and often.
Key responsibilities
Discipline expertise:
- Auditing existing user experience
- Prototyping at various levels of fidelity - from paper to hi-fi click-throughs
- Design the user experience from discovery through to delivery
- Conducting user research and user testing early, often and throughout delivery
- Designing and facilitating workshops and design sprints
Collaborative leader
- Coaching your team and your clients on Design Thinking, Lean, and Human-Centred Design
- Working with Product Directors for sales activities
- Consulting product stakeholders with backlog prioritisation
Client influencer
- Communicate your designs and decisions with a broad range of stakeholders
- Aligning a broad range of stakeholders on the product strategy and desired outcomes
- Advocating and introducing user-centred processes to your clients
- Become a trusted advisor to your clients by collaborating with them to deliver business and user value
Build Red Badger’s product capability
- Support and mentor user experience designer and motivate them to develop
- Proactively share knowledge with the rest of the team and elevate the UX and
Product discipline within Red Badger
- Support the development of Red Badgers product approach and strategy
- Write and speak publicly about our design work and practice your experience
It’d be great if you,
- Have experience of working in lean/agile environments
- Have in-depth knowledge of Human-Centred Design and Design Thinking
- Advised engineers, insights and QA on UX practices as part of a cross-functional team
- Worked with clients, presenting design concepts and running workshops
- Can lead UX activities on a project
- Have working knowledge of industry-standard tools, such as Sketch/Figma, plus aptitude to learn and introduce new tools and methodologies
- Have experience designing mobile-first responsive sites & mobile native apps
- Can plan and run user testing at various levels of fidelity - from guerilla user testing to lab testing
- Are able to work closely as part of a cross-functional team as the sole UX Designer

- Can leverage your understanding of front-end development to inform your design decisions
- Apply product management principles to support the design and delivery of digital products
- Apply Service Design methodologies surface insights, design and test experiences to inform the development of digital products
