As a Senior Product Designer at Disney, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and user experience of our streaming platform, Disney+. This early career position is crucial in maintaining Disney's reputation as a leading-edge entertainment company, where innovation and storytelling are at the core. You will work within a collaborative and strategic team environment, contributing to the creation of world-class artwork that enhances the user experience for millions globally. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, an independent work ethic, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Create exceptional original artwork packages and title treatment designs for new titles.
- Ideate and concept creative ways to leverage artwork in innovative and unexpected ways.
- Regularly receive and provide creative feedback to guide early concepts and polish final executions.
- Champion artwork design to improve and drive audience engagement.
- Coordinate with program managers to kickoff, progress, and deliver creative projects.
- Communicate creative concepts, aesthetic choices, and visual execution effectively with peers.
- Maintain a solid understanding of product design specifications and guidelines.
- Collaborate and build strong working relationships across The Walt Disney Company.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience designing successful consumer experiences in a fast-paced, product-centric environment.
- Strong knowledge of and passion for typography.
- Exceptional photo compositing and illustration ability.
- Proven track record in creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specs.
- Proficiency in creating and prototyping design using Figma.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing for Living Room devices (e.g., TV UI/UX) or Mobile devices (e.g., iOS, Android).
- Experience in leading usability testing studies and synthesizing user feedback into measurable product decisions.
- Professional experience with creating and managing digital content assets in the media/entertainment industry for mobile, web, and TV.
