As we continue to evolve our technology organisation, we're creating a brand-new leadership role - Head of Technology Relationships & Cost Management.

This is a unique opportunity to shape NewDay's strategic approach to technology partnerships, balancing governance, commercial value and supplier performance. From executive relationship management and service improvement through to major renewals, investment decisions and technology innovation, you'll ensure our partnerships deliver lasting business impact.

Why this role matters

As Head of Technology Relationships & Cost Management, you'll establish and lead a strategic partner management capability within Technology, taking ownership of some of our most important supplier relationships. You'll work with and be supported by  Technology, Supplier Management, Procurement, Risk and Finance to ensure our partners consistently deliver value, performance and resilience, while helping us make smarter investment decisions.

This is more than supplier management. It's about building executive-level relationships, influencing strategic decisions, driving commercial outcomes and ensuring every pound we invest in technology supports NewDay's long-term goals.

What you'll be doing

• Leading NewDay's relationships with key technology partners and strategic suppliers.
• Developing partnership strategies aligned to our technology and business priorities.
• Building trusted executive-level relationships that enable innovation, transformation and long-term value creation.
• Driving accountability for supplier performance, service quality, operational resilience and delivery outcomes.
• Partnering with Procurement and Supplier Management on major sourcing, renewal and commercial activities.
• Influencing key decisions around contract renewals, investments, remediation plans and supplier exits.
• Establishing clear measures for value realisation and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Providing leadership across commercial governance, supplier performance and strategic technology partnerships.
• Balancing cost, risk, resilience and performance to support sustainable growth.

You'll bring:

• Experience managing strategic technology suppliers, partners or outsourced service providers.
• A track record of driving partner performance improvement and resolving complex commercial or operational challenges.
• Strong experience influencing senior stakeholders and building executive-level relationships.
• Knowledge of supplier governance, commercial frameworks and contract management.
• Understanding of third-party risk, operational resilience and regulatory expectations.
• Experience balancing commercial value, operational performance and strategic outcomes.
• The ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge constructively and drive meaningful change.
