Summary
Our Client is looking for a Project Manager – Drywall Division to join their Charlotte, NC team. If you have extensive experience developing, overseeing, and completing commercial construction projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization.
About Our Client
Our Client is a growing construction company providing services across the Southeastern, Mid-Atlantic, and New England markets. The company has more than 60 years of experience in drywall, masonry, concrete/masonry restoration, Divisions 8 & 10, structural strengthening, and building envelope restoration.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Management
- Develop accurate project budgets using historical data from previous projects.
- Periodically visit pending and active projects to ensure proper field methods and maintain comprehensive knowledge of each project.
- Maintain knowledge of local material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Oversee and track all labor on each project, including outside subcontractors and internal labor resources.
- Provide predetermined project deliverables in a timely manner, including verification of completed work.
- Manage and develop team members to support their professional growth within the organization.
- Represent the company professionally in all aspects of project and site operations.
- Maintain strong client relationships at the project level.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
- 3+ years of Project Management experience with a substantial estimating background, including 2+ years as an Assistant Estimator.
- MBA is a plus.
Success Factors
- Experience in marketing, sales, or client development and relationship management.
- Experience working for a commercial drywall subcontractor or general contractor (GC).
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to personal and professional standards of excellence.
- Position requires working in the office or at active job sites.
