Job Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Senior Manager – Finance to oversee financial operations, SAP B1 system controls, internal and external audits, and statutory compliance. The role will also lead the preparation of the Annual Report and Sustainability Report in line with SLFRS S1 & S2, while managing finance teams across real estate and Management Corporation portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP B1 System Monitoring & Approvals
- Review and monitor SAP Business One workflow approvals across payments, journal entries, purchase orders, and vendor/customer master data changes
- Ensure approval hierarchies, authorization matrices, and system controls are correctly configured and consistently followed
- Identify, investigate, and resolve system-related discrepancies or approval bottlenecks in a timely manner
- Liaise with the IT/SAP support team to drive system enhancements, patch implementation, and continuous control improvements
2. Internal Audit
- Coordinate and manage internal audit engagements from planning through to final closure
- Review audit findings, prepare management responses, and ensure timely resolution of action points
- Strengthen internal control frameworks by embedding audit recommendations into business processes
3. External Audit
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external and statutory auditors, ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated audit process
- Ensure timely preparation and provision of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Review and finalize audited financial statements in full compliance with SLFRS/IFRS
4. Annual Report
- Lead the end-to-end preparation, compilation, and finalization of the company's Annual Report
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, notes, and disclosures
- Coordinate with designers, auditors, and management to ensure timely publication
5. Sustainability Reporting (SLFRS S1 & S2)
- Draft the company's Sustainability Report in accordance with SLFRS S1 (General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information) and SLFRS S2 (Climate-related Disclosures)
- Coordinate with relevant departments (HR, Operations, Legal, Facilities) to gather ESG and climate-related data
- Ensure disclosures align with the governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics/targets requirements under the standards
- Stay abreast of evolving sustainability reporting requirements and emerging best practices
- Monitor daily finance operations, including approval queues, cash flow activities, and transaction processing
- Oversee the reconciliation of bank, vendor, customer, and intercompany accounts
- Supervise the finance team and ensure timely completion of routine accounting tasks
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT/tax filings, EPF/ETF, and corporate taxation
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for real estate projects
- Coordinate with project and operations teams on cost monitoring, project accounting, and cash flow planning
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and internal control procedures across all finance functions
- Oversee the accounting function of Management Corporations
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification in CA Sri Lanka / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA in finance or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including minimum 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business One will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to SLFRS S1 & S2 or sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks is highly desirable.
