About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Building Control Surveyors to join our team.
We are particularly interested in speaking with Registered Building Inspectors at Class 1, Class 2A or above, as well as those actively working towards higher registration classes.
Our diverse project portfolio provides exposure to a broad range of developments, including projects that many surveyors may not have the opportunity to work on elsewhere. This gives our team the experience required to progress through registration classes while continuing to develop their technical knowledge and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake site inspections and assess compliance with Building Regulations
- Review plans, specifications and supporting documentation
- Provide technical advice to clients, contractors and design teams
- Prepare reports and correspondence relating to inspections and plan assessments
- Manage a portfolio of projects across a variety of sectors
- Support clients throughout the design and construction process
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Registered Building Inspector Class 1, Class 2A or above, or working towards registration
- Experience within Building Control, warranty surveying or a related discipline
- Good understanding of Building Regulations and associated legislation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence

The successful candidate will enjoy building client relationships, delivering a high standard of service and expanding their experience across a wide range of projects. You will be keen to progress your RBI registration class and take advantage of the support, mentoring and training opportunities available within Meridian Consult.
