The Accounting Associate provides day-to-day support for the company's accounting and finance operations. The role assists in treasury activities, cash management, disbursements, journal entries, account reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting while ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies.
This position offers excellent exposure to multiple areas of accounting and finance, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking long-term career growth in corporate accounting or finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury & Cash Management
Assist in preparing daily and weekly cash position reports and cash flow monitoring.
Monitor collections, disbursements, vendor payments, and daily banking transactions.
Coordinate with banks regarding account maintenance, fund transfers, transaction inquiries, and documentation requirements.
Help ensure sufficient funding for operational requirements.
General Ledger and Accounting Support
Prepare and post journal entries related to treasury and finance transactions
Maintain accurate accounting records, schedules, and supporting documentation
Assist with month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and reporting requirements
Tax Compliance and Regulatory Support
Assist in the preparation and filing of local government tax requirements
Maintain supporting documents related to tax payments and compliance activities
Cross-Functional Support
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing concerns, payment issues, and accounting-related inquiries
Provide administrative and operational support to various finance activities
Perform ad hoc accounting, treasury, and finance assignments as needed
Requirements:
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Finance, or any related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
✔ Open to Fresh Graduates
✔ Internship or OJT experience in Accounting, Finance, Treasury, or Banking is an advantage.
✔ Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting principles.
✔ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
✔ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
✔ Amenable to a dayshift hybrid work setup in SCB – Ayala, Makati (2x onsite per week)
