As pioneers and leaders in the industry, we continue to push the boundaries of science through continuous engineering and product development, with a special focus in advancing microwave technology through R&D. Our quality-driven and customer-centric approach allows us to be a dedicated partner, and ongoing resource for various microwave and RF projects.

Microwave Techniques LLC is a subsidiary of The Elmet Group (ELMT), a publicly traded (NASDAQ)  company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities by researching target markets, engaging prospective customers, and building strong technical and professional relationships.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape by gathering and analyzing market and competitor data, helping the team identify trends, gaps, and emerging opportunities.
  • Support the growth of existing accounts by understanding customer applications, reviewing purchasing history, and recommending relevant solutions, new products, or enhancements that improve their results.
  • Contribute to department and organizational goals by taking ownership of new initiatives, supporting evolving customer requests, and proactively seeking ways to add value through technical insight and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with internal teams by communicating customer needs, identifying potential product or service offerings, and providing customer-driven feedback to guide product development and strategic decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers through clear, proactive, and technically grounded communication.
  • Travel to customer facilities as needed to strengthen relationships, review applications and project requirements, and provide technical guidance.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to support customer understanding and project success.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Engage in technical discussions with prospective and existing customers to uncover needs and identify new business opportunities.
  • Evaluate incoming inquiries, determine technical requirements, and support the quoting process.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, establish new opportunities, and build sales forecasts.
  • Participate in post-award communication for strategic accounts or key projects. Collaborate with Application Engineers and internal teams to stay informed of order status, production timelines, and engineering updates.
  • Partner with project management and internal stakeholders to ensure customers have a clear understanding of project progress.
  • Maintain ownership of commercial topics, including negotiating contractual scope changes and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company objectives.

Requirements

  •  3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, or a related technical sales role, supported by education or hands-on expertise in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. An engineering or relevant science degree is preferred but not required  for candidates with strong relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn complex technical products, adapt to evolving customer needs, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated success in sales-related activities such as forecasting, prospecting, lead generation, relationship development, and strategic account management.
  • Willingness to travel 25–40%, both domestically and internationally, to support customer relationships, site visits, and industry events.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to maintain accurate, timely records of customer interactions and opportunities.
  • Adept at all common computer/software programs such as Microsoft Office products and Adobe
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments is a plus.

What can you expect from us?
