Overview

Who we are

Collaborative. Respectful. A place to dream and do. These are just a few words that describe what life is like at Toyota. As one of the world’s most admired brands, Toyota is growing and leading the future of mobility through innovative, high-quality solutions designed to enhance lives and delight those we serve. We’re looking for talented team members who want to Dream. Do. Grow. with us.

An important part of the Toyota family is Toyota Financial Services (TFS), the finance and insurance brand for Toyota and Lexus in North America. While TFS is a separate business entity, it is an essential part of this world-changing company- delivering on Toyota's vision to move people beyond what's possible. At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.

Toyota does not offer support or sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this role now or in the future. You must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota support or sponsorship for immigration-related employment (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, 'job flexibility benefits' [also known as I-140 or Adjustment of Status portability], etc.) now or in the future. You should not apply for this role if you will require Toyota to assist with immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.

Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Fraud Control Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Fraud Analyst to work Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm CST.

Reporting to the Fraud Control Manager, this role will support the Fraud Control Department’s mission to prevent fraud, mitigate loss, and strengthen enterprise risk controls through timely, accurate, and well-informed fraud decisioning.

This role is responsible for leading the review, investigation, and disposition of complex fraud matters across new credit applications, as well as booked retail and lease contracts, for TFS, LFS, MFS, and BPSFS. The position requires strong independent judgment in identifying application-stage fraud, misrepresentation, and emerging fraud typologies, while providing dedicated Saturday coverage to ensure timely and effective fraud decisioning for weekend-submitted applications. This role will serve as a trusted subject matter expert in support of the Fraud Control Department’s broader risk mitigation objectives.

Reporting to the Fraud Control Manager, the person in this role will support the Fraud Control Department's objective to prevent fraud and mitigate loss.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead advanced review and decisioning of complex fraud, credit, and income alerts to detect indicators of application-stage fraud, misrepresentation, and emerging fraud typologies across TFS, LFS, MFS and BPSFS.

• Own timely fraud coverage, including Saturday operations, to ensure seamless review of weekend-submitted applications and uninterrupted support to DSC and Credit partners.

• Conduct investigations of suspected fraud on behalf of TFS, LFS, MFS, and BPSFS involving retail and lease contracts, with expert-level analysis of identity theft, synthetic identity fraud, elder abuse, title washing, financial fraud, and other first- and third-party schemes impacting auto and marine finance.

• Assess confirmed fraud cases and drive loss mitigation strategies, including repossession actions, dealer buyback recommendations, law enforcement referrals, restitution recovery, and coordination with motor vehicle agencies, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders.

• Analyze and identify fraud patterns to identify networked activity, organized crime indicators, and emerging threats, and deliver clear findings to management and senior leadership to support enterprise risk reduction.

• Establish and sustain high-value partnerships with law enforcement, motor vehicle agencies, and industry peers to strengthen investigative outcomes and safeguard TMCC interests. Represent the organization in the Auto Finance Coalition and at major industry forums such as ACFE, IAFCI, IAATI, WSATI, and NICB, contributing as a recognized fraud subject matter expert.

• Serve as a fraud SME on cross-functional initiatives, providing strategic input across technology, training, vendor management, sales, risk, credit reporting, and compliance while partnering with the Fraud Control Department Manager to lead training development, support task forces and committees, evaluate vendor solutions, manage reporting and trend analysis, and deliver expert guidance on SOP/FOPP updates and technology testing.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience

• 3+ years of investigative experience as it relates to auto-finance fraud which includes, but is not limited to, identity theft, application fraud, synthetic identity fraud, and financial fraud

• 3+ years of experience understanding auto finance origination and servicing processes

• Availability and commitment to provide reliable fraud coverage during Tuesday through Saturday shifts from 9am to 6pm CST, demonstrating the ability to work independently and maintain focus

• Prior experience presenting cross functionally and with senior leadership

• Proven ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

• Willingness to be adaptable in a high pressure and demanding environment that may have constant change in priorities

Added bonus if you have
