The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for the facilitation of HR policies and processes. This individual will assist with complex compliance administrative processes while working to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and proper administration of HR policies and processes. Specifically, this person will administer processes related to leaves of absence, disability and religious accommodation requests, background checks and drug screens, I-9s, unemployment compensation, and other processes as required. Additional responsibilities include data collection and analysis, drafting of HR processes as directed, providing interpretations of policies to help ensure consistency across the enterprise, and effective administration of the policy governance process. To be effective in this role you will demonstrate an ability to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential company documents and information.

Responsibilities
• Partners with manager, as needed, to apply HR policies and best practices to HR Compliance activities to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. • Supports the Policy Governance process by assisting with drafting, editing, updating and suggesting changes to policies based business requests or changing legal requirements. Manages the annual review of HR policies for North America. • Provides policy interpretation to business partners that helps ensure correct application, fairness, and consistency. • Conducts data analysis related to HR policies and processes and provides insights to help leaders with recommendations that support the changing needs of our business and partners.• Coordinates the administration of vendor partnerships, unemployment claims, leaves of absence, disability and religious accommodation requests, background checks and drug screens, and I-9s. Ensures compliance with laws and regulations and with Foot Locker HR policies and processes pertaining to these areas.• Collaborates with Dick’s Sporting Goods (DSG) to integrate leave of absence administration.• Ensures proper posting of all legally required HR posters and information.• Coaches and trains teammates in compliance practices and procedures.• Administers Background Check process by monitoring background check reports and appropriately escalating adverse results for review.• Promptly responds to subpoenas, agency inspections and other legal requests, as directed, while partnering with appropriate departments as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.• 3 years of HR experience.• General knowledge of employment and HR related laws, regulations, policies, and principles• Strong collaboration skills with ability to take direction effectively, act independently, and adapt quickly to changes. • Superior attention to detail; anticipate future needs for both day-to-day tasks and projects. • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and time management skills.• Highly Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high volume in fast paced matrixed environment.• Ability to work with both vendors and Teammates at all levels in a professional, respectful, cooperative, and courteous manner.• Ability to prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, and proactively follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures. • Ability to preserve confidentiality of highly sensitive employee information.• Demonstrates positive customer service and team-oriented demeanor with experience driving inclusion work.• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 /yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
