Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Bank Teller to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of banking procedures and regulations. The Bank Teller will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate banking services to our customers, while ensuring compliance with all banking policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with various banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries
• Process and verify customer transactions accurately and efficiently
• Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to customers
• Handle and balance cash drawers and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Follow bank procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and security measures
• Provide excellent customer service by resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere for customers
• Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and targets
• Stay updated on new banking products and services to effectively assist customers and promote them when appropriate

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in banking or customer service is preferred
• Strong understanding of banking procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other banking software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Contract Details:

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Durban, South Africa. The Bank Teller will work 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
