Infrastructure Engineer
Location - United States (Remote) - (Hybrid – 2-3 Days Per Week in San Francisco or New York City for candidates in those locations)
Compensation - $175,000 – $275,000 Base + Competitive Equity
Visa - Visa Transfers Supported (OPT/H1B Transfers)

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll join a highly collaborative Foundations team responsible for building and scaling the distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and reliability foundations that power the company's platform.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a senior-level infrastructure team where engineers have full ownership, work directly with product engineering teams, and solve complex distributed systems challenges at meaningful scale.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain distributed systems powering core parts of the platform
- Own infrastructure architecture decisions focused on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Build and evolve cloud infrastructure across AWS and modern infrastructure tooling
- Design scalable systems handling millions of requests from enterprise customers
- Partner closely with product engineering teams through an embedded infrastructure model
- Provide architectural guidance and technical expertise during product development
- Build internal tools, shared infrastructure, and developer productivity systems
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and engineering velocity
- Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools
- Build reliable Kubernetes-based infrastructure platforms
- Participate in production on-call rotations and incident response
- Diagnose complex production issues and improve system reliability
- Contribute to technical design reviews and architecture discussions
- Document systems, decisions, and best practices to improve engineering effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvements across infrastructure, reliability, and developer experience
Ideal Candidate Background
Experience Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, or Platform Engineering
- Experience working at modern cloud-native technology companies
- Experience building and operating production infrastructure at meaningful scale
- Experience designing and maintaining distributed systems
- Experience working across multiple engineering organizations or companies
- Experience in one of two profiles:
- Embedded SRE generalist who partners closely with product engineering teams
- Distributed systems-focused infrastructure engineer who enjoys architecture and scalability challenges
- Experience participating in production incident response and on-call rotations
- Experience working in collaborative, high-ownership engineering environments
- Strong startup mindset with ability to operate independently
Technical Requirements
- Strong infrastructure and platform engineering fundamentals
- Experience with Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration systems
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or another major cloud provider
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts
- Experience designing scalable and reliable backend infrastructure
- Experience with networking, deployment systems, and production operations
- Experience improving developer productivity through internal tooling
- Familiarity with TypeScript-based infrastructure or application environments is a plus
- Experience building CI/CD systems and engineering workflows
- Experience troubleshooting complex production systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline preferred
- Strong engineering background with demonstrated infrastructure expertise
- Exceptional professional experience may substitute for formal education
