Job Summary: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the overall sales activities of the Industrial IBC division for the Central Midwestern region, which includes developing and executing plans to achieve sustainable sales growth, while maintaining profit objectives and cultivating positive relationships with both key customer personnel and coworkers.
Compensation: Starting total compensation potential is between $120,000 to $160,000, which is combination of salary and bonus, commensurate with a candidate’s experience and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding in a timely manner to requests for quotes, order/stock status inquiries, technical questions, application consulting, as well as helping resolve customer issues.
- Proactive tasks include following up on quotes, opportunities and leads, while maintaining existing account relationships and prospecting for new customers.
- Disseminate the necessary information to fulfill orders to customer service and engineering for prompt order entry processing.
- Utilize company CRM and ERP systems to manage customer communications, improve time management, and evaluate customer buying trends, and prompt follow up on key action items.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting, reporting and tracking complaints.
- Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities.
- Be a team player working within the sales department and all other company departments to achieve common objectives.
- Develop plans, objectives and strategies to grow sustainable sales at both existing customers and new account prospects
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or previous relevant sales experience.
- Related manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- The ability to build strong relationships with coworkers, customers and partners.
- Successfully perform duties with a sense of urgency.
- Must be persistent, action-oriented and results-driven.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Data entry skills and experience in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, Microsoft office applications, and ERP systems.
- Travel will be required with this role. 6-8 trips a year and trades shows
