Description
York College of Pennsylvania’s Graham School of Business is seeking an Assistant Professor of Management. The Assistant Professor of Management is a full-time, tenure-track position with the following responsibilities: teach in-person, undergraduate management classes (a 4/4 teaching load is standard), advise undergraduate students, produce research that supports GSB accreditation efforts, and conduct service appropriate to the individual’s rank and tenure (such as committee and community service). The successful candidate will likely teach multiple sections of an introductory Principles of Management class, a senior-level Strategic Management class, and may also have the opportunity to teach other business classes as needed, including at the graduate level.
- Teaching four 3-credit, face-to-face courses each semester (fall and spring) as assigned.
- Advising undergraduate students in business administration.
- Maintaining a program of scholarly research resulting in publication in peer-reviewed venues.
- Engaging in service to the department, school, college, and community.
- Representing the department and school at events, including recruitment events.
- Earned (by August 2027) Ph.D. in Management, or a closely-related business discipline, or DBA with specialization in Management.
- Experience teaching face-to-face undergraduate collegiate management courses in a school of business is required.
- Work experience in management that will translate well to the classroom is preferred.
- Strong teaching skills as demonstrated by teaching evaluations and a teaching demonstration during the interview are required.
- Express commitment to utilizing experiential learning pedagogies is required; experience with experiential learning pedagogies, particularly project-based learning, is preferred.
- Expertise in management is required.
- Research skills as demonstrated by a track record of publication in peer-reviewed venues or a robust pipeline of research in progress that is viable for publication are required.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team are required.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without employer sponsorship is required.
- Required to relocate to area or to reside within commutable distance to campus.
