Why Join Us?
We are currently seeking compassionate and committed Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. This model gives you the flexibility to manage your own schedule, choose the supports you wish to provide, and earn competitive hourly rates while being backed by a professional, Registered Nurse-led organisation.

Benefits of Contracting with Us:

  • Opportunities for professional development and business growth.
  • A supportive, collaborative and participant-focused team culture.

    • Mobility assistance.
    • PEG feeding.
    • BiPAP management.
    • Therapy programs as prescribed by Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
  • Follow participant-specific care plans, behaviour support strategies and allied health recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the clinical team and family.

Essential Requirements:
Applicants must have:
  • Demonstrated experience supporting children or participants with complex physical disabilities, including quadriplegia and non-verbal communication.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC).
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification.
  • Current Police Check (issued within the last three years).
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
  • A registered ABN (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Proof of Australian working rights.

Desirable Skills:
Highly regarded experience includes:
  • Experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems such as:
    • PODD communication books.
    • Eye gaze communication systems.
  • Experience implementing therapy programs under the guidance of allied health professionals.
  • Experience supporting participants requiring PEG feeding, respiratory support or other complex care needs.
  • Applicants without AAC experience are encouraged to apply if they demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Additional Requirements:
Successful applicants must:
  • Be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidays as rapport with the participant develops.
  • Be physically capable of performing manual transfers as part of a two-person team (no hoist transfers are utilised for this participant).
  • Be comfortable working in a home with two indoor dogs. One larger dog may bark when people first arrive but settles quickly.
