Job Description

As a Security Officer Commercial building Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and property conditions while reporting unusual behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
• Support daily operations at the location by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with security-related requests from tenants, guests, and authorized personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
