Overview
Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance activities for school buildings and grounds in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing spaces and equipment, maintaining restrooms, cleaning windows and furniture, emptying trash, and maintaining grounds. Operate cleaning equipment including floor strippers, waxers, and buffers. May open and secure buildings, raise and lower flags, and adjust heating or air conditioning. Work independently with minimum supervision and establish effective working relationships with school personnel. Some tasks may require physical exertion including lifting heavy objects.
