As Application Engineer in Casablanca for Eaton, you will act as the technical and process focal point for the Heinemann Product Line, supporting product applications, customer requirements, applicable standards, and product lifecycle execution. You will bridge engineering, SAP/CBIC processes, product management, and customer interactions to ensure timely and compliant delivery of solutions. As a highly technical subject matter expert, you will collaborate closely with the sales team, translating specifications into tailored Eaton offerings, providing technical insights, and supporting the successful closure of deals while strengthening long-term customer partnerships.

The primary function of the Application Engineer is to deliver high-value technical expertise that drives sales success and customer satisfaction by aligning Eaton solutions with specific application needs and defending competitive positioning. This includes proactively advising customers, supporting strategic account development, and contributing to sustainable growth beyond short-term targets. Additionally, the role involves providing backup for new circuit breaker BOM creation and overseeing item creation and extension processes, ensuring accuracy and continuity in product setup and lifecycle management.

## What you’ll do:

Technical & Product Expertise

• Provide expert application support on Heinemann hydraulic magnetic circuit breakers, including product configuration (component selection, BOM) and cross-referencing of completion products.
• Support customer-specific technical requirements, including regional and regulatory constraints (CCC, CE, UL) and ensure technical compliance.
• Build strong expertise in electrical protection systems to translate product capabilities into tailored technical solutions.

Product Data, SAP & Lifecycle Execution

• Create and manage BOMs using internal tools (e.g., Belzebuth) and ensure accurate component interaction and configuration.
• Execute and support SAP material creation and extension (MM01, plant extensions) while ensuring data completeness and accuracy.
• Lead and operate CBIC workflows, coordinating costing, product setup, and lifecycle activities (NPI, qualification, updates) with Engineering and Operations.

Customer, Sales & Project Support

• Support sales teams, distributors, and customers through technical training, lead qualification, proposal development, and ongoing product support.
• Act as a technical-commercial interface, assisting less technical stakeholders and maintaining customer relationships, including occasional on-site support.
• Handle urgent customer and project topics with clear communication, execution, structured tracking, and follow-up, contributing to NPI and lifecycle projects.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Business Impact

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and external partners to ensure aligned product execution and delivery.
• Act as a global interface between regions, factory, and stakeholders, supporting both back-office activities and occasional field interactions.
• Drive knowledge sharing, process continuity, and support business growth by translating new product offerings into market-ready technical solutions.

## Qualifications:

• Electrical engineer degree;
• 2-5 years of experience on a similar role.

## Skills:

• Strong expertise in electrical protection systems (e.g., circuit breakers, electromechanical components);
• Ability to design and configure technical solutions (product configuration, BOM creation);
• Effective technical communication with customers, sales teams, and distributors;
• Customer-oriented mindset with capability to support sales and qualify technical needs;
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex engineering topics;
• Fluent English required; French is a strong plus; ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment;
• Familiarity with SAP (advantage).
