Context
It is rare to find an infrastructure project immune to budget and political cycles, but this one has a career horizon stretching all the way to 2086. We are looking for a Requirements Manager to join the Newcastle–Sydney HSR corridor—a 100% renewable, greenfield network that is setting a new global standard for engineering excellence.
Missions/Main Duties
In this role, you will be the guardian of the project’s technical truth. You will own the framework that captures every client, statutory, and operational requirement, ensuring they are decomposed and allocated across every design discipline. You will be the bridge that ensures our complex designs are always traceable to our high-level objectives.
Profile/Skills
Own the programme requirements management framework, establishing and maintaining the requirements management database (DOORS or equivalent).
Control the allocation, decomposition, and flow-down of all requirements across all design disciplines and contract packages.
Lead the development of the Employer's Requirements decomposition, translating high-level objectives like speed, capacity, and safety into specific, verifiable technical requirements.
Manage the interface register and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for all inter-discipline and inter-package design interfaces.
Ensure each interface is owned, defined, and controlled, operating the formal change management process for updates throughout ECI.
Establish and maintain the requirements verification and validation matrix (RVTM), tracking planned verification methods for every project requirement.
Provide regular reporting to the Assurance Director and Project Director on verification status and completeness.
Provide requirements compliance oversight during design reviews, ensuring deliverables are traceable and all requirements are addressed.
Maintain the requirements change log for audit purposes and ensure no uncontrolled scope changes are introduced.
Support regulatory and client assurance submissions by producing traceability reports and compliance matrices.
Demonstrate at each ECI gateway that design is progressing in accordance with the agreed requirements baseline.
If you are ready to put the "greenest thing possible" on your CV and lead a technical legacy that moves the needle for decades to come, we want to hear from you.
