Description
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, implementation, and test of software systems.
- Understand hardware and software interactions, and collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers.
- Participate in project planning and estimation.
- Mentor engineers and technicians.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
- Understand. Create. Simplify.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience in object-oriented languages (C#, Java, C++, Delphi)
- Strong understanding of OO principles and concepts
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Must have a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s).
- Ability to adhere to SEL's tobacco free workplace policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Agile development principles and processes
- Knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework or .NET Core
- Understanding of modern web development
- Knowledge and experience in web supporting technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5).
- Experience with User Experience design
- Experience with revision control systems (Git)
- Experience with automated unit testing (NUnit, MSTest, Jest)
