We're looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join a large-scale enterprise transformation programme, taking ownership of key platform and onboarding products while working closely with engineering, architecture and delivery teams.
This is a highly technical product role, ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between product strategy and engineering delivery. You'll own roadmaps and backlogs, drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure platform investments deliver measurable business and operational value.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical product manager for onboarding services, owning technical requirements alongside the wider product team.
- Lead the continuous improvement roadmap, prioritising engineering initiatives that enhance performance, resilience and service quality.
- Own the product roadmap for platform and DevOps capabilities, balancing platform health, technical debt and feature delivery.
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog, working with Technical Leads and Business Analysts to refine epics into deliverable user stories.
- Translate technical challenges and engineering priorities into clear product decisions and business outcomes.
- Use operational data, user feedback and performance metrics to drive evidence-based prioritisation.
- Work closely with engineering, DevOps, architecture and delivery teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders, managing priorities across multiple workstreams.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience as a Product Manager delivering digital products, platforms or technical services.
- Strong technical product mindset with the ability to work confidently alongside engineers, architects and DevOps teams.
- Experience managing products that support cloud platforms, infrastructure or engineering services.
- Demonstrable experience defining product strategy, owning roadmaps and managing Agile product backlogs.
- Strong understanding of Agile product delivery and modern software development practices.
- Experience balancing strategic objectives with operational and technical priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using delivery and product management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Desirable
- Experience working within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and DevOps principles.
- Experience working across onboarding, platform engineering or shared services teams.
- Background within the public sector or other highly regulated environments.
