Description
HANAC, Inc. – originally founded by George Douris as the Hellenic American Neighborhood Action Committee – is a New York City-based multi-faceted social services organization. The organization was founded in 1972 to serve the needs of vulnerable populations throughout New York City.
Facility Coordinator, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations & Property Oversight
- Conduct weekly office visits to all five (5) properties.
- Conduct building inspections and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate facilities activities, maintenance operations, and contractor performance.
- Track preventive maintenance schedules and monitor property violations.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, and materials.
Security Operations
- Be available to respond to security emergencies 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
- Track, document, and follow up on all security incident reports.
- Ensure Security Guards remain current on policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Conduct security inspections and coordinate security-related matters.
Staffing & Human Resources
- Conduct preliminary screening interviews for Porters and Security Guards.
- Prepare and coordinate onboarding for new employees.
- Mediate staffing conflicts and assist with scheduling and workforce planning.
Administration & Reporting
- Manage Yardi, Rent Cafe Maintenance System work orders and reporting.
- Prepare weekly and monthly facilities, maintenance, and security reports.
- Maintain files, vendor records, contracts, and operational documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in property management, facilities, or security operations.
- 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of building maintenance systems, incident reporting, and OSHA standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel regularly between all five properties.
- Availability for after-hours emergencies, weekends, and holidays.
