This position is being posted for a potential government contract opportunity.

Job Overview:

Provides logistics and inventory management support for a Naval Special Warfare Logistics Support Unit by ensuring accurate accountability, processing, storage, issue, receipt, and movement of Government property while maintaining compliance with applicable Navy and DoD regulations.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, validate, and process inbound shipments.
• Prepare, package, document, and coordinate outbound domestic and international shipments.
• Maintain shipping and receiving records and fiscal-year documentation.
• Ensure audit readiness and proper filing of transportation documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding material movement.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as authorized.
• Support inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
• Comply with DoD, Navy, and command logistics procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements/Education:

• Minimum five years of DoD warehousing/inventory experience.
• Maintain Forklift certification up to 10,000 lbs.
• Ability to obtain authorization to operate Government vehicles/CESE.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and communication.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Shall meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) for use in their official duties, if required. This includes all size forklift operations. NSW is not authorized to qualify and issue forklift and similar equipment licenses to contracted employees.  NSW can provide local on-site training on NSW organic equipment once contractor is fully qualified and licensed from an external licensor. NSW is not liable for any expenses associated with initial certification or maintenance of licenses; costs incurred are at the expense of the contracted company.  
• Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Shall complete and maintain training and certifications requirements for network access.
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
• Enter data into multiple databases accurately.

Security Requirement:

• Active Secret Clearance

 Preferred Skills: 

• Experience supporting Naval Special Warfare, familiarity with Navy logistics systems, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
