Job Description:
This job is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the research and execution of complex transactions for a single site/business unit or smaller business unit(s). Key responsibilities include strategically advising upon the design, development, and implementation of products, systems, and services using discretion within the project management methodologies.
This position is essential to sustain operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and service delivery across the CAP EMEA Accounts Payable function. With existing resources increasingly focused on enterprise transformation and AI efforts, the loss of this role would materially increase operational risk, threaten SLA performance, impact vendor and employee experience, and reduce the team's ability to meet critical tax, regulatory, and reporting obligations. Combined with the contractor roll-off, the team would effectively lose two resources within a lean operating model, creating an unsustainable capacity gap at a time of heightened business and transformation demand. The leanness of the team alongside the requirement for segregation of duties means not replacing would put additional strain across the function due to toxic access requirements This is also occurring whilst we have an increase in work efforts both BAU and Digital Tax Projects across the EMEA and OUS regions; we are also preparing for new additions to requirements and onboarding new countries . This replacement also presents a strategic opportunity to strengthen the team's capabilities by hiring at a higher band level, allowing us to strengthen leadership capacity, accelerate AI and transformation initiatives, enhance risk and compliance oversight, and position the team to support future growth and increasing business complexity. This approach not only addresses an immediate operational requirement but also ensures the team has the expertise and scalability needed to meet increasing business demands and deliver long-term value.
