Our client is a well-known luxury Hotel located in Bangkok, Thailand.

Title of Position: Director of IT

Package: 130,000 Baht

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the hotel’s IT strategy and technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, networks, servers, systems, hardware, software, hotel technology platforms, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications.
• Lead major IT installation, implementation, integration, upgrade, and technology improvement projects from initiation through completion.
• Initiate, plan, coordinate, manage, and deliver projects, including budgeting, procurement, vendor management, timelines, resources, risk management, implementation, and post-project follow-up.
• Prepare and present project proposals, business cases, budgets, plans, and progress updates to the General Manager and senior management.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, availability, cybersecurity, and security of all critical IT systems.
• Lead, coach, develop, and motivate the IT team to deliver professional and effective support to all departments.
• Manage hotel systems and applications, including PMS, POS, HR, finance systems, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, and other business- critical platforms.
• Manage IT budgets, contracts, licenses, procurement, vendors, and technology resources effectively.
• Ensure effective data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Identify and recommend new technologies, digital solutions, and automation to improve operational efficiency and guest and colleague experience.
• Build strong relationships with the General Manager, Executive Committee, department heads, colleagues, vendors, and external partners.
• Monitor IT performance, risks, incidents, and service levels to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.

We’re Looking For

• Proven track record of successfully managing major IT projects, installations, implementations, and system integrations, preferably within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to initiate, present, plan, procure, manage, and successfully deliver complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience in effective people leadership, with the ability to guide, coach, develop, and motivate a team.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident, self-assured, professional, proactive, and passionate about technology and service excellence.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business requirements into practical and effective technology solutions.
• Previous experience in a senior IT leadership position within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant IT experience, with strong experience in IT management or leadership.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, hotel systems, and technology operations.
• Experience in IT project management, system implementation, and vendor management.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
