Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Assignment Location: Pincher Creek, Alberta – Good Samaritan Vista Village
Pay: $ 33 /hour
Schedule: Temporary / Contract / Casual Opportunities
Current Need: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
Accommodation: Provided for the current assignment
About the Opportunity
HealthOPM is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for temporary healthcare staffing assignments with Good Samaritan in Alberta.
We currently have an immediate requirement at Vista Village in Pincher Creek, Alberta, with additional opportunities potentially available across Good Samaritan care homes as staffing needs arise.
This opportunity may be a good fit for an Alberta LPN interested in temporary rural coverage or a nurse willing to travel for a short-term assignment. Accommodation is provided for the current assignment.
Previous experience working at a Good Samaritan location is an asset. Please indicate this when applying.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centred nursing care within LPN scope of practice
- Administer medications and complete required documentation
- Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes appropriately
- Support care planning and day-to-day resident needs
- Collaborate with RNs, HCAs and other members of the care team
- Follow infection prevention, safety and facility policies
- Provide hands-on nursing care as required
Requirements
- Active Alberta LPN registration and practice permit in good standing
- Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program
- Current CPR / First Aid as required
- Current Vulnerable Sector / police information check
- Required immunization and health documentation
- Experience in long-term care, continuing care, assisted living or seniors' care preferred
- Able to work and remain for the full scheduled shift
- Previous Good Samaritan experience is an asset
