Institute’s background:
The HKUST Li & Fung Supply Chain Institute (Institute) accelerates the creation, global dissemination, and practical application of new knowledge and technologies for managing supply chains. Jointly established by international research university HKUST and supply chain industry leader Li & Fung, the Institute engages in collaborative research, exchanges, professional development and executive education to drive real-world impact across the region and globally, while contributing to Hong Kong’s development as a multinational supply chain management center.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing communications plans and strategies in various dissemination channels.
- Manage and create content for social media platforms.
- Assist in creating content related to new business models in China.
- Assist in event management and production.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with partners across the world.
- Assist in developing potential partners of training programs.
- Support administrative functions, research production and handle ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Marketing, Psychology or related disciplines with at least 15 years' experience in journalism, communications or language field with proven track record. A master’s degree in a relevant field is a strong plus.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Familiar with major social media platforms in China and beyond and ability to create localized content for the China market.
- Hands-on experience with video production and dissemination via channels including RedNote, Tik Tok is a must.
- Knowledge of AI applications is required.
- Work experience in Chinese Mainland will be highly regarded.
- Start-up mindset or experience will be favourably considered.
- Responsible, self-motivated, multi-tasking, able to work overtime, under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills, mature working attitude and attention to details.
- Public sector and/ or education related work experience is preferred.
- Business trips to Chinese Mainland and Belt & Road countries are required.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
