Principal Duties & Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire new clients in target industries, especially in the financial services sector, oil & gas, manufacturing, or professional services.
- Conduct market research, prospecting, and networking to generate qualified leads.
- Meet sales and revenue targets by client and industry.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the primary point of contact to address client needs, resolve issues, and provide ongoing support.
- Identify, plan, and develop new business opportunities, strategies, and marketing ideas.
- Build relationships with key accounts to drive the business.
Account Management
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare regular sales performance reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts for management review.
- Use Lead & Opportunity Matrix tools to track activities, client interactions, and business metrics.
Key Challenges of the Role
- Managing existing client relationships while actively pursuing new clients requires strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market, especially in the financial services sector.
- Staying ahead of industry trends and market demands while identifying new opportunities.
- Ensuring alignment between internal teams and client needs for effective delivery.
- Consistently generating qualified leads through networking, events, and market research.
Qualifications / Work Experience / Skills
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Proven track record in sales and business development in the staffing-services industry.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
